Job summary

Jefferson University Physicians is seeking a Patient Services Associate II to enhance the patient experience by processing arrivals and departures with courtesy and professionalism. The role includes obtaining pre-certifications for procedures, verifying insurance and demographics, and supporting a smooth flow of patients to examination rooms.

The PSA II embodies the Jefferson Experience by delivering prompt, attentive service while maintaining compliance with HIPAA and regulatory standards

Qualifications

• Must communicate courteously with patients and/or visitors.
• Able to interpret data and manage a time-sensitive workload.
• Comfortable interacting with diverse individuals in a clinical setting.

Responsibilities

• Process check-in and check-out, and scheduling via EPIC.
• Obtain pre-certifications and/or pre-authorizations for procedures.
• Maintain efficient flow of the practice and escalate concerns as appropriate.
• Greet and interact with patients/visitors in a professional manner, on phone or in person.
• Adhere to HIPAA privacy and security requirements.
• Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local standards.
