Job summary

Abington Memorial Hospital is seeking a Patient Services Associate I to enhance the patient experience by processing arrival and departure activities at the frontline of an outpatient practice. You will verify insurance, referrals, and patient demographics, ensuring a courteous Jefferson Experience and a smooth flow of patients to examination rooms.

Responsibilities include greeting patients, scheduling via EPIC, and maintaining professional interactions while upholding privacy and regulatory

Qualifications

• Must communicate courteously with patients and/or visitors.
• Willingness to provide a positive Jefferson Experience for all patients and visitors.
• Ability to complete multiple tasks and work under pressure.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient information.

Responsibilities

• Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the values of Jefferson.
• Processes check in and/or check out, point of service activities and scheduling of patient appointments via EPIC.
• Greets and interacts with patients/visitors in a professional manner, on phone or in person.
• Maintains efficient flow of practice and escalates patient and/or provider concerns as appropriate.
• Adheres to HIPAA privacy and security requirements. Ensures compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulatory standards.
• Other duties as requested or assigned.
