Job summary

Akamai Technologies, Inc. seeks a Senior Solutions Engineer for the Public Sector Pre-Sales team in the United States. You will design and demonstrate Akamai solutions for government and regulated industries to meet complex security and performance needs.

You will lead technical demos/POCs, prepare proposals, and collaborate with engineering and sales to translate customer requirements into architectures. Eight years of experience and a BS in CS/Engineering are required, with US citizenship.

Qualifications

8 years of experience in customer-facing consulting or pre-sales roles.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent.
US citizenship due to client base.
Background in web acceleration, web security, infrastructure security tech or cloud computing.

Responsibilities

Create sales opportunities by managing the pre-sales technical process and demonstrating Akamai's technology to customers.
Manage the technical proposal process and ensure all technical information and recommendations address customer requirements.
Track account activity for business analysis and design technical solutions to meet customer needs.
Lead sales activities such as Technical Demos and Proofs of Concepts (POCs).
