Job summary

Axon Enterprise in New York is seeking a Unified Communications Integration Engineer to deploy a cloud-based, highly available 911‑oriented UC platform. You will ensure interoperability of RTC/VoIP signaling, while meeting strict security standards and aligning with Carbyne’s best practices.

You’ll configure, onboard and support clients, document specifications, and collaborate across Ops, R&D, Sales, and Product teams. Hybrid work in Manhattan is available.

Qualifications

• Proven experience with VoIP architecture and UC deployments.
• Hands-on installation experience with open-source UC platforms.
• Strong understanding of SIP/SDP/RTP/WebRTC and related codecs.
• 3+ years deploying open-source VoIP solutions.
• Solid networking knowledge including OSI model and layers 1–7.
• Experience with Linux environments and bash scripting.
• Experience deploying UC in private and public clouds (AWS).

Responsibilities

• Deliver and maintain a highly available 911 infrastructure as part of the UC team.
• Configure and troubleshoot Carbyne’s UC platform and PBX projects.
• Provide customized UC solutions to clients and onboard new customers.
• Create technical specs and solution documents for deployments.
• Collaborate with Operations, R&D, Sales and Product Managers.
• Offer technical training and support for 911 emergency communications systems.
