Job summary

Axon is seeking a Unified Communications Integration Engineer to join the Carbyne-AXON team in New York. You will help deploy and integrate a cloud-based emergency real-time communication platform, ensuring high availability, security, and interoperability across VoIP signaling services.

You will work with Carbyne’s Operations to deliver customized UC solutions, support onboarding, and train teams while leveraging AWS, Linux, and open-source tools.

Qualifications

• Proven experience with VoIP architecture and real-time communications systems.
• Strong understanding of SIP, SDP, RTP, WebRTC and related troubleshooting.
• Hands-on deployment experience with open-source UC platforms (Kamailio/FreeSWITCH/Asterisk).
• 3+ years deploying VoIP solutions and 3+ years networking experience.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a highly available 911 UC platform within Carbyne's operation group.
• Configure, troubleshoot and optimize Carbyne’s Emergency Communication Platform.
• Provide clients with customized UC solutions and technical guidance.
• Install, maintain, and integrate PBX and UC projects, and create technical specs.
• Onboard new customers aligning with requirements and solution specs.
• Provide training and support to Operations on emergency communications systems.
• Develop a solid understanding of UC architecture, networking and cloud computing.
• Collaborate with Operations, R&D, Sales, CTO Office and Product Managers.
