Job summary

Motorola Solutions seeks a Technical Field Services Manager to lead post-sales technical services, directing Field Engineers in the installation, deployment, and maintenance of Exacom Hindsight 4. The role emphasizes on-site work, strict SLAs, and delivering top-notch service to public safety agencies.

The candidate should bring 5+ years of technical management, experience in public safety or NG911, and deep knowledge of VoIP, networks, and CTI. Travel up to 25–50% is required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years progressive technical management experience leading technical support and/or field deployment teams.
• Preferred background in public safety, mission-critical environments, telecommunications, or NG911 systems.
• Proven track record managing multi-disciplinary technical teams (remote and on-site).

Responsibilities

• Direct, mentor, and evaluate a dual-function team of Field Engineers; set KPIs and performance metrics.
• Oversee planning, scheduling, and execution of on-site hardware/software installations and upgrades.
• Coordinate with project managers and client IT/dispatch to align timelines and site readiness.
• Ensure adherence to SAT and security compliance; serve as technical lead during go-live events.
• Manage backlog to close projects and drive revenue in a timely manner.
