Job summary

Motorola Solutions is seeking a Software Application Specialist Manager to lead a team deploying public safety software within complex ecosystems. You will coordinate upgrade migrations, collaborate with CCSW Contracts, and ensure timely delivery under contractual obligations.

The role requires strong leadership, project management, and experience in public safety IT. Travel 25-50% is expected as part of contractual responsibilities and client engagements.

Qualifications

• Preferred Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Project Management, Engineering or related field or 5 years of experience in a public safety Information technology field.
• Must be a self-motivated team player able to work effectively with general guidance toward objectives.

Responsibilities

• Information Gathering and Discovery: lead efforts to conduct assessments, reviews, and discovery events in Public Safety agencies.
• Analytical Evaluation and Recommendations: evaluate processes and provide tailored recommendations for Motorola's software solutions.
• Business Process Reengineering: facilitate workshops to develop new processes aligned with objectives.
• Training Development and Orientation: design and deliver training materials for new implementations.
• User Acceptance Testing (UAT) Facilitation: coordinate and lead UAT processes and document results.
• Internal Liaison and Collaboration: liaise between technical resources, engineers, and project managers.
• Collaboration: work with Program Leaders to ensure timely delivery within scope and budget.
• Stakeholder Communication: present analysis and updates to stakeholders and customer leadership.
• Responsible for CCSW HW/SW Platform migration tasks and delivery of P1 maintenance contracts.
