Qualifications

• 2 years’ experience in a social service environment or government setting.
• Experience as Case Manager or Eligibility Specialist encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Gather data for all relevant assistance programs from clients by phone or in person.
• Verify information meets state policies; obtain releases and records as needed.
• Verify income, assets, and other financial documents.
• Explain program requirements to clients; use automated tools to determine eligibility.
• Enter data into state databases; respond to inquiries by phone or email.
• Coordinate with other departments as required.
