Job summary

Knowledge Services is recruiting an Eligibility Specialist to assist Indiana residents with public assistance applications. The role requires gathering data, verifying documents, and guiding clients through TANF, SNAP, and Medicaid processes. Based in Auburn, IN, with standard hours Monday–Friday.

Extensive training and a supportive team environment are provided. Compensation starts at $16.50 per hour with benefits and paid time off; 37.5-hour work week.

Qualifications

• 2 years’ experience in a social service environment, state or local government is desired pertaining to employment / training programs
• Strong written and verbal skills
• Solid computer skills, Microsoft Office proficiency
• Basic math skills

Responsibilities

• Gather data for all relevant assistance programs face-to-face or via phone with clients
• Verify information is gathered accurately and meets state policies
• Obtain release forms and medical records as needed
• Verify income, assets, and other financial / legal documents
• Review regulations and program requirements with clients
• Utilize automated program to determine eligibility of state assistance programs
• Data entry into state database
• Respond to inquiries in a timely manner via phone or email
