Job summary

The Scion Group LLC is hiring a General Manager to lead a thriving property and drive performance in a fast-paced, collegiate environment.

This role requires customer-centric leadership, quick decision-making, and strong business acumen to optimize operational, expense and revenue outcomes. The GM will manage staffing, vendor relations, capital projects and resident experiences while upholding Scion standards and safety protocols.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' experience managing living communities and a team of 3+.
• Proficient in Property Management Systems (Entrata preferred).
• Exceptional written and verbal communicator.
• Strong time management and conflict resolution skills.
• Vendor management and confidentiality are essential.

Responsibilities

• Staff Development and Leadership: partner with Talent Acquisition and HR Operations to attract and hire team members; train and develop staff; manage scheduling and on-call shifts; improve employee morale.
• Property Administration: handle community aspects, engage Legal for vendor/risk/contract matters, conduct quarterly inspections.
• Facilities & Capital: ensure safe, sanitary experiences; conduct monthly property walks; manage permits and capital projects; obtain vendor bids and approvals.
• Annual Turnover Process: plan and execute turnover with teams; staff adequately for turnover deadlines; manage turnover expenses within budget.
• Financial Performance: collaborate on budgets; manage expenditures, payroll, inventory; seek revenue opportunities and cost savings.
• Customer Experience & Sales: uphold customer experience philosophy; monitor feedback and KPIs; support leadership in resolving escalations; drive revenue targets and leasing velocity.
