Job summary

The Scion Group LLC is hiring a General Manager to lead a student living property, driving exceptional operating, expense and revenue performance in a fast-paced collegiate setting.

You will lead a customer-centric team, oversee staffing, budgets, and capital projects, and collaborate with Talent Acquisition, Legal and operations to deliver high-quality resident experiences and strong financial results.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' experience managing living communities and a team of 3+.
• Proficient in Property Management Systems (Entrata preferred).
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Time management, conflict management and vendor management.
• Confidentiality and customer-centric mindset.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Talent Acquisition and HR Operations to attract and hire exceptional team members through Greenhouse.
• Train, develop and provide leadership to team members to ensure effective operation and career progression.
• Schedule property staffing at all times, including after-hour on-call shifts.
• Elevate employee experience through data, conversations and team building to ensure high morale.
• Prepare, respond and advise on community aspects including market, condition, policies and emergencies.
• Engage Legal for vendor management, risk and contract matters.
• Conduct quarterly apartment inspections to assess damage and identify improvements.
• Ensure safe and sanitary community experience and uphold Scion standards.
• Manage annual turnover process and coordinate with Talent Acquisition for staffing.
• Forecast and manage financial performance to keep expenses within budget.
