Job summary

The Scion Group LLC is hiring a General Manager to lead a thriving student-living property. This role blends business management, community leadership and operations to optimize expense and revenue performance in a fast-paced, collegiate setting.

Candidate must be customer-centric, data-driven, with strong leadership and a track record of managing teams. The position requires onsite work with travel as needed, and offers comprehensive benefits and a discretionary bonus.

Responsibilities

• Staff Development and Leadership: attract, hire and train team members; schedule staffing; on-call coverage; elevate employee experience.
• Property Administration: advise on market conditions, policies and emergencies; collaborate with Legal on vendor and contract matters; conduct quarterly inspections.
• Facilities & Capital: ensure safe, sanitary environment; conduct monthly property walks and inspections; manage permits and capital expenditures; obtain vendor bids and approvals.
• Annual Turnover Process: plan and execute turnover with GM and Facilities; staff property for turnover; manage budgets and timelines.
• Financial Performance: coordinate budgets and expenditures; seek ways to increase NOI by revenue or cost optimization.
• Customer Experience & Sales: implement Scion’s CX philosophy; monitor feedback and drive actions to improve resident experience; hit revenue targets.
