Job summary

The RMR Group is hiring a Maintenance Technician to assist the Maintenance Supervisor in maintaining a safe, secure living environment. You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose routine repairs, and coordinate with the property team to ensure timely make-ready services.

This role requires on-call rotation, valid driver’s license, and strong problem-solving abilities. Responsibilities include complying with EPA/OSHA regulations, maintaining tools and facilities, and responding to priority

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years’ maintenance property management experience.
• EPA Universal Certification required.
• CPO certification preferred.
• Possess knowledge of carpentry, electrical, plumbing, etc.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
• Team oriented, problem solver, professional appearance.
• Must have valid driver’s license and be prepared for on-call rotation including nights/weekends/holidays.

Responsibilities

• Follow company policies and comply with state and federal regulations (EPA, OSHA, ADA, Fair Housing, etc.).
• Maintain safety by correcting unsafe conditions promptly.
• Schedule and perform preventive maintenance; inspect and maintain tools.
• Be aware of utility meter cut-offs, apartment and fixture cut-offs, sewer clean-outs.
• Perform make-ready repairs and assist make-ready staff to meet deadlines.
• Report major repairs to Maintenance Supervisor before expenditures.
• Change locks/re-key; handle moving of heavy appliances as needed.
• Assist with other maintenance tasks as requested by supervisors.
