Job summary

The Maintenance Technician role at The RMR Group LLC supports the Maintenance Supervisor in keeping the property safe, secure, and comfortable for residents and staff. You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose issues, and handle routine repairs with attention to safety and company policies.

Responsibilities include coordinating make-ready repairs, reporting major issues, and assisting in on-call rotations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or equivalent not required; hands-on maintenance experience with building systems.
• EPA Universal Certification required.
• CPO certification preferred.
• Must be able to read and interpret plans, schematics and safety instructions.
• Knowledge of carpentry, electrical, and plumbing basics.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Assist Maintenance Supervisor and Property Manager with preventive maintenance on all equipment.
• Inspect and diagnose electrical, plumbing, HVAC, appliances, and building systems.
• Coordinate make-ready repairs and services to meet deadlines.
• Report major repairs and requisitions before expenditures.
• Change locks and manage security hardware as needed.
• Work rotating on-call including nights, weekends, and holidays.
