Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Service Technician to perform technical and mechanical work ensuring building, grounds, and common areas meet safety, cleanliness, and operational standards. The role requires on-site work at a Garden property with a lease-up stage and a schedule of Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm plus rotating on-call duties.

Responsibilities include completing work orders, making-ready inspections for new move-ins, inventory management, documentation, and routine site upkeep.

Qualifications

• EPA certifications Type 1 and II or Universal for refrigerant recycling.
• Valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart on property if applicable.
• All state/local certifications as required for service technicians.

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work orders and preventative maintenance following safety standards and codes.
• Completes the make-ready process for vacant units, including inspections and scheduling vendors.
• Tracks materials, returns unused items, and notifies supervisor for re-orders.
• Documents work requests accurately for proper tracking and record-keeping.
• Maintains grounds and common areas, including cleaning and painting as needed.
• Fixes parts when possible to control costs and uses tools efficiently.
