Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Service Technician 3 to perform technical and mechanical work ensuring buildings, grounds, amenities, and common areas meet Greystar standards of cleanliness, safety, and functionality. The role involves on-site maintenance for a 232-unit property with a Monday–Friday schedule plus rotating on-call shifts.

Responsibilities include completing work orders and make-ready tasks, inventory management, documentation, and supporting safety and risk management programs.

Qualifications

• EPA Type 1 and II or Universal refrigerant recycling certifications.
• Certifications as required by State and Local jurisdictions.
• Valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart on property.

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work orders for resident requests and preventative maintenance by diagnosing defects and making repairs per safety standards and codes.
• Completes the make-ready process to prepare vacant apartments for leasing, including inspections, punch lists, scheduling, supplies, and inspections.
• Accesses and obtains materials through the property maintenance department, tracks usage, returns unused items, and notifies on re-ordering needs.
• Documents service requests timely to ensure accurate tracking.
• Maintains grounds, common areas, and amenities by cleaning, pressure-washing, painting, and debris removal as needed.
• Supports cost-control by repairing rather than replacing parts when feasible and using tools efficiently.
