Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Service Technician to perform technical and mechanical work ensuring the property’s buildings, grounds, amenities and common areas meet company standards for cleanliness, safety and functionality. The role involves responding to resident requests, completing make-ready tasks, maintaining inventory, and assisting with on-site safety protocols.

This on-site position requires EPA refrigerant certifications (Type 1 and II or Universal) and a valid driver's license for

Qualifications

• EPA refrigerant certifications mandatory for certified service technicians.
• State and local jurisdiction certifications as required.
• Valid driver's license to operate golf cart on property, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work orders and preventative maintenance per policies, safety standards, and code requirements.
• Prepares vacant units for leasing via make-ready, including inspections, punch lists, scheduling, and material coordination.
• Maintains inventory, tracks usage, and notifies supervisor about re-orders.
• Documents service requests promptly and accurately for tracking.
• Supports grounds, common areas, and amenities through cleaning and minor repairs.
• Pursues cost-saving by repairing rather than replacing parts when feasible and using materials efficiently.

Education

EPA certifications Type 1 & II or Universal for refrigerant recycling

Valid driver's license
