Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Service Technician to maintain physical aspects of the property, ensure safety and cleanliness, and support on-site operations. The role includes completing work orders, preparing vacant units for leasing, and assisting in grounds maintenance.

The position requires EPA refrigerant certifications (Type I/II or universal), state/local certifications, and a valid driver’s license for golf-cart use on site. Expect an on-site schedule with on-call rotations.

Qualifications

• EPA certifications Type 1 and II or Universal for refrigerant recycling, as applicable to certified technicians
• All certifications as required by state and local jurisdictions
• Valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart on property, depending on property size

Responsibilities

• Complete work orders from resident requests and preventive maintenance by diagnosing defects and making repairs per safety standards and codes
• Finish the make-ready process for vacant units, including pre-move-out inspection, punch lists, scheduling vendors, and inspecting work
• Access and obtain materials via the maintenance department, track inventory, return unused items, and notify supervisor when re-ordering is needed
• Document and finalize service requests for accurate record keeping
• Maintain grounds and common areas via cleaning, debris removal, painting curbs/signage; assist in cost-saving by repairing rather than replacing parts
