Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Service Technician to perform technical and mechanical work ensuring building facilities meet safety and quality standards. The role includes handling work orders, make-ready tasks, inventory control, and documentation.

You’ll help maintain grounds and amenities while supporting cost-conscious operations with efficient repairs. The position requires EPA refrigerant certifications, a valid driver’s license for on-property vehicles, OSHA safety know-how, and adherence to

Qualifications

• EPA refrigerant certification (Type 1 & 2 or Universal) is required.
• Valid driver's license to operate a golf cart on property is required.
• State/local certifications as required by jurisdiction.
• OSHA safety training or equivalent compliance knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Complete work orders from resident requests and preventative maintenance tasks.
• Perform make-ready process for vacant apartments, from inspections to punch list and vendor coordination.
• Manage materials and inventory, track usage, and notify supervisor for re-orders.
• Document service activities accurately to track requests and completion.
• Maintain grounds, common areas, and amenities; perform cleaning and minor repairs as needed.
• Support cost-control by repairing instead of replacing parts where feasible; use tools and materials properly.
• Periodically inspect contractor work to ensure quality, scope, and specifications are met.
• Assist in routine property inspections to identify safety and risk concerns and report to management.
