Job summary

InTown Suites is seeking a General Manager to lead daily hotel operations, drive financial performance, and nurture a safe, clean environment for guests and staff at our Louisville property. You will oversee front office, housekeeping, and maintenance while upholding corporate standards and guest satisfaction.

The role requires leadership, strong communication, and the ability to manage budgets, schedules, and staff development in a fast-paced environment. Travel to nearby properties is expected.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid driver’s license and auto insurance, with a functioning car.
• Strong English reading/writing and communication abilities for guest and staff interaction.
• Ability to read and interpret internal reports and forecasts.
• Mathematical skills to forecast revenue, occupancy, and labor costs.
• General computer proficiency.
• Knowledge of Front Office operations and guest relations.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure.
• Effective problem-solving and staff coaching skills.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, interview, and hire property staff.
• Train and develop property staff and provide ongoing support.
• Manage office operations, guest check-ins/outs, and payroll functions.
• Ensure outstanding guest service and high occupancy revenue.
• Identify and address maintenance and life/safety issues.
• Support budgets, P&L analysis, and cost controls.
• Coordinate capital expenditure needs and projects.
• Foster relationships with local authorities and partners.
• Travel to other properties for market insights and bank visits.
