Job summary

InTown Suites in Nashville seeks a General Manager to lead daily property operations, drive financial performance, and maintain a safe, guest-focused environment. You will oversee front desk, housekeeping and maintenance, while ensuring adherence to corporate procedures and high guest satisfaction.

You will recruit and train staff, manage budgets, monitor market conditions, and drive revenue growth through local marketing and pricing strategies.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid driver’s license, current auto insurance and a functioning automobile.
• Read, speak, write and understand English to interact with guests and staff.
• Ability to read and interpret reports and internal hotel information.
• Strong math skills to forecast and analyze revenue, occupancy and labor costs.
• General computer proficiency and familiarity with front office operations.
• Knowledge of front office operations, service standards and guest etiquette.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, interview and hire property staff.
• Train and support property staff.
• Oversee office operations, including guest check-in/check-out, money handling, bookkeeping and payroll.
• Ensure excellent guest service and uphold safety standards.
• Develop expertise on computer systems used at the property.
• Identify and manage repairs and maintenance issues.
• Identify capital expenditure needs and assist with projects.
• Monitor life/safety issues and inspections; report to supervisor.
• Drive revenue through pricing recommendations and market awareness.
• Meet budgets through P&L analysis and cost controls.
• Assist in preparing annual budgets and monitor competitors.
