Job summary

The Scion Group is hiring a General Manager to be a keystone leader driving operational, expense and revenue performance across a student-living property. You will lead staffing, vendor relations, and resident experience in a fast-paced campus setting.

As a customer-centric leader, you will forecast financial performance, uphold brand standards, and collaborate with Talent Acquisition, Legal, and Facilities teams to ensure smooth property operations and a high-quality resident environment.

• Proficient in Property Management Systems (Entrata preferred)

Responsibilities

• Partner with Talent Acquisition and HR Operations to attract and hire exceptional team members through Greenhouse.
• Collaborate with Learning & Development to train, develop and provide leadership to team members to ensure effective operation and career progression.
• Accountable for scheduling appropriate property staffing at all times, including after hours on-call shifts.
• Elevate employee experience through data, conversations and team building to ensure high morale.
• Prepare, respond and advise on all community aspects including market, physical condition, policies, procedures and onsite emergencies with partner departments.
• Engage internal Legal department for vendor management, risk management, court appearance and contract administration matters.
• Conduct quarterly apartment inspections to assess damage and identify property improvements.
• Accountable for safe and sanitary community experience for employees, residents and guests including curb appeal, facilities, common areas and preventative maintenance.
• Uphold The Scion Standard by conducting monthly property walks and submitting scorecard assessments around inspections.
• Maintain and audit valid building and system permits to ensure compliance with codes and standards.
• Identify capital expenditures and work with Regional Manager on approval and execution of new projects.
• Obtain vendor bids and approvals for projects exceeding budgeted thresholds.
• Proactively plan annual turnover with leadership to staff and manage deadlines.
• Forecast and manage financial performance to keep controllable expenses within budget.
• Monitor customer feedback and develop action plans to improve resident experience.
• Implement Scion's customer experience philosophy to maintain brand integrity and drive revenue targets.
