Job summary

Michels Power, Inc. is seeking a Project Manager - Transmission & Distribution to lead complex utility infrastructure projects from pursuit to closeout. The role covers transmission, distribution, and substation work with budgets from $500K to $10M+ and requires travel.

The ideal candidate will guide project scope, schedule, safety, quality, and client relationships while advocating Michels' safety-first culture and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Experience leading construction or utility infrastructure projects.
• Proven ability to manage scope, cost, schedule, and field execution.
• Strong communication and leadership skills; able to coordinate multiple teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects through estimating, bidding, execution, and closeout phases.
• Manage transmission, distribution, and substation construction activities.
• Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
• Oversee subcontractors, suppliers, field leadership, and internal project teams.
• Develop and maintain strong client and utility relationships.
• Track and manage project costs, forecasts, schedules, and performance metrics.
