Job summary

Michels Power, Inc. is seeking a Project Manager - Transmission & Distribution to lead overhead electric transmission and distribution construction projects from startup through closeout. You will manage safety, scheduling, procurement, and customer relationships across North America.

You will coordinate with utility owners, engineering teams, and field crews to deliver projects safely, on time, and within budget, while driving financial performance and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Project Management, Business, or a related field.
• Minimum 5+ years of project management experience on overhead transmission/distribution projects.
• Experience with investor-owned utilities, cooperatives, or EPC contractors is preferred.
• Strong leadership, financial management, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead all phases of overhead transmission and distribution project execution from contract award through project closeout.
• Manage project budgets, forecasts, schedules, procurement activities, and overall financial performance.
• Develop project execution strategies that support safety, quality, schedule, and profitability objectives.
• Serve as the primary customer-facing representative throughout the project lifecycle.
• Coordinate activities among utility customers, engineering teams, construction management, field operations, subcontractors, suppliers, and stakeholders.
• Identify risks and schedule impacts while implementing effective solutions.
• Ensure compliance with contractual requirements and regulatory standards.
