Job summary

Michels Power, Inc. is seeking a Senior Project Manager – Transmission & Distribution to lead major utility infrastructure programs valued at $10 million or more. You will drive pursuit, est imating, contracting, construction, and client management, ensuring safety, quality, and financial success.

The ideal candidate has deep experience in transmission, substation, and distribution infrastructure, with strong commercial acumen and team development abilities, in dynamic field environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Project Management, or related field with 7–10+ years of related experience.
• Experience managing large‑scale utility, transmission, distribution, substation, or power delivery construction projects.
• Experience leading projects valued at $10 million or greater.
• Proficiency with project controls, contract administration, estimating and schedule management.
• Strong communication, leadership, negotiation, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead large‑scale transmission, distribution, and substation projects from pursuit through final completion.
• Manage project scope, schedule, budget, quality, safety performance, and profitability.
• Directly supervise and mentor Associate Project Managers, Project Managers, and staff.
• Review contracts, plans, specs, and bid documents to understand requirements and risks.
• Coordinate estimating efforts, proposal development, and bid submissions.
• Serve as primary contact for clients, utility owners, and subcontractors.
