Job summary

Jobot is seeking an experienced Multifamily Project Manager to lead complex construction projects in the Sarasota area. You will manage all facets from planning and budgeting to execution, coordinating subcontractors and ensuring schedules and budgets are met.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years' experience in commercial construction, focused on multifamily projects.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• Proven ability to manage construction projects from start to finish.
• Strong knowledge of building materials, processes, and equipment.
• Familiarity with construction laws and regulations; PMP certification is a plus.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills; able to lead multiple tasks simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Oversee multifamily construction projects from inception to completion on time, scope and budget.
• Develop comprehensive project plans detailing scope, goals, deliverables, resources, budget and timeline.
• Coordinate construction workers and subcontractors per plan.
• Review progress daily and adjust as needed for successful completion.
• Maintain ongoing communication with stakeholders and provide status updates.
• Ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and local/state requirements.
• Identify risks and propose proactive mitigation strategies.
• Foster relationships with clients, architects, and subcontractors for future opportunities.

As a Project Manager for Multifamily Projects, you will be at the helm of exciting and complex construction assignments. Our company is well-established in the construction industry, with a rich history of successful multifamily projects. We offer a dynamic, fast-paced work environment where each day brings new challenges and opportunities. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional with significant experience in commercial construction. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of project management, from planning and budgeting to execution and completion.

Responsibilities

• Manage multifamily construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring that they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
• Develop comprehensive project plans, detailing the project’s scope, goals, deliverables, required resources, budget, and timeline.
• Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors, ensuring that all tasks are carried out according to plan.
• Review work progress on a daily basis and make necessary adjustments to ensure the successful completion of the project.
• Maintain constant communication with stakeholders, providing regular updates on the project’s status.
• Ensure that all legal requirements, building and safety codes, safety inspections, city guidelines, and local and state regulations are met.
• Perform risk management to minimize project risks, identifying potential issues and proactively proposing solutions.
• Foster relationships with clients, architects, and subcontractors to establish a reliable network and ensure future business opportunities.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial construction, with a focus on multifamily projects.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven track record of successfully managing construction projects from start to finish.
• Excellent knowledge of building and construction materials, processes, and equipment.
• Strong understanding of construction laws and regulations.
• Exceptional leadership and project management skills, with the ability to lead a team and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Outstanding communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
• Proficient in construction management software programs.
• PMP or equivalent certification would be considered an asset.
