Job summary

Dow is seeking a Project Controls Lead in Houston, Texas. This role partners with Project Engineers, Design Teams, Construction, and Procurement to integrate cost, schedule, risk, forecasting, and change management into project lifecycle stages.

You will act as a key member of the Project Steering Team, applying Dow's Global Project Methodology to drive safe, predictable, and competitive project outcomes while mentoring Project Controls resources and ensuring deliverables meet quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; 10+ years of relevant experience acceptable in lieu.
• 5+ years of experience in Project Controls, Engineering, Manufacturing, Construction, or related discipline.
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Experience in cost management, scheduling, forecasting, and project performance analysis.
• Ability to influence project teams without a direct reporting line.
• US work authorization; no visa sponsorship available for this position.

Responsibilities

• Lead the application of Project Controls processes to improve cost, schedule, and performance.
• Serve as the Project Controls leader on the Project Steering Team and advisor to project leadership.
• Provide leadership to Project Controls resources through FEL, Detailed Engineering, and Construction.
• Monitor workload demands and identify resource needs, escalating as needed.
• Deliver accurate forecasting, cost reporting, schedule analysis, and performance metrics.
• Complete Project Controls deliverables for monthly reports and executive reviews.
• Ensure quality and integrity of all Project Controls documents and deliverables.
• Develop and communicate insights to proactively manage risks and opportunities.
• Report project status and forecasting to internal and external stakeholders.
• Support IPA reviews and other project assurance activities.
• Oversee Change Management and communicate impacts to cost, schedule, and scope.
• Use metrics to monitor project health and identify improvement opportunities.
• Establish thresholds for Management Intervention and recommend corrective actions.
• Foster ownership, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
