Job summary

Dow seeks a Project Controls Lead in Houston, Texas to join our global project team. You will lead cost, schedule, forecasting, and control activities to enable safe, competitive capital deliveries.

As a member of the Project Steering Team, you will drive governance, risk management, and performance analytics, partnering with engineering, construction, procurement and design to ensure predictable project outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or 10+ years of relevant experience in lieu of degree.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Project Controls, engineering, manufacturing, construction, or related field.
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Demonstrated experience in cost management, scheduling, forecasting, and project performance analysis.
• Ability to influence project teams and stakeholders without direct reporting lines.
• U.S.-based position requires legal work authorization; no visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Lead the application of Project Controls processes and best practices to improve cost, schedule, and overall project performance.
• Serve as Project Controls leader on the Project Steering Team; advise project leadership.
• Provide leadership to Project Controls resources across full project execution lifecycle (FEL, Detailed Engineering, Construction).
• Monitor workload demands and identify resource needs; escalate as needed.
• Deliver accurate forecasting, cost reporting, schedule analysis, and performance measurement.
• Complete Project Controls deliverables for monthly reports and executive reviews.
• Maintain quality and integrity of all Project Controls documents and deliverables.
• Develop and communicate project insights to enable proactive risk management and opportunities.
• Report project status and forecasts to internal and external stakeholders.
• Support IPA reviews and other project assurance activities as required.
• Oversee Change Management processes and ensure impacts to cost, schedule, scope, and objectives are communicated.
• Use metrics (Cost Competitiveness Ratio, Schedule Duration Ratio) to monitor project health and identify improvements.
• Set and monitor Management Intervention thresholds; recommend corrective actions when performance deviates.
• Foster ownership, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the team.
