Job summary

Dow is seeking a Project Controls Lead in Houston, TX to guide cost and schedule outcomes across complex capital projects. You will partner with Project Engineers, Design Teams, Construction, and Procurement to integrate cost, schedule, risk, forecasting, and change management throughout the project lifecycle.

You will act as the Project Controls resource within Dow's Global Project Methodology, delivering actionable insights, proactive risk mitigation, and governance to ensure safe,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; in lieu of degree, 10+ years of relevant experience accepted.
• Minimum 5 years in Project Controls, Engineering, Manufacturing, Construction, or related discipline.
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Experience in cost management, scheduling, forecasting, and project performance analysis.
• Ability to influence project teams without direct reporting lines.
• U.S.-based: eligible to work legally in the United States; no visa sponsorship offered.

Responsibilities

• Lead application of Project Controls processes, tools, and best practices to improve cost and schedule performance.
• Serve as Project Controls leader on the Project Steering Team and advise project leadership.
• Provide direction to Project Controls resources across full project execution from FEL to Construction.
• Monitor workloads, identify resource needs, and escalate when needed.
• Deliver accurate forecasting, cost reporting, scheduling analysis, and performance measurement.
• Complete Project Controls deliverables for monthly reports and executive reviews.
• Ensure quality and integrity of all documents produced by the Project Controls team.
• Develop meaningful project insights to proactively manage risks and opportunities.
• Report project status and forecasts to stakeholders.
• Support IPA reviews and project assurance activities as required.
• Oversee Change Management processes and communicate impacts to cost, schedule, and scope.
• Use performance metrics like Cost Competitiveness Ratio and Schedule Duration Ratio to monitor health.
• Establish Management Intervention thresholds and champion corrective actions.
• Foster ownership, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
