Job summary

Dow is seeking a Project Controls Lead in Houston, Texas. You will join a team that integrates cost, schedule, risk, forecasting, and change management to drive safe, predictable, and competitive project outcomes.

You will partner with Project Engineers, Design, Construction, Procurement, and business stakeholders to apply Dow's Global Project Methodology and deliver value across multi-project portfolios.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 10 years of relevant experience.
• 5+ years of experience in Project Controls, Engineering, Manufacturing, Construction, or related discipline.
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Demonstrated experience in cost management, scheduling, forecasting, and project performance analysis.
• Ability to influence project teams and stakeholders without a direct reporting line.
• U.S.-based position with ability to work legally in the United States; no visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Lead the effective application of Project Controls processes, tools, and practices to improve cost, schedule, and performance.
• Serve as Project Controls leader on the Project Steering Team and advise project leadership.
• Provide leadership to Project Controls resources across full project execution phases.
• Monitor workloads and identify resource needs, escalating as required.
• Deliver accurate forecasting, cost reporting, schedule analysis, and performance measurement.
• Complete Project Controls deliverables for monthly reports and executive reviews.
• Own the quality and integrity of all Project Controls documents and deliverables.
• Develop and communicate insights to enable proactive risk management and opportunities.
• Provide project status reporting for internal and external stakeholders.
• Support IPA reviews and project assurance activities as needed.
• Oversee Change Management, evaluating and communicating impacts to targets.
• Use metrics (Cost/ Schedule ratios) to monitor health and identify improvements.
• Establish thresholds for Management Intervention and corrective actions.
• Foster ownership, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
