Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a self-starting Project Civil/Environmental Engineer to support an expanding portfolio of projects across the United States. You will collaborate with scientists, engineers, project managers, and technical experts on civil design and environmental permitting for a diverse project portfolio.

The role is primarily office based; field assignments may be required, including client and stakeholder meetings.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Environmental, Chemical, or Civil Engineering or closely related field.
Successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam.
Minimum 5 years of professional experience.
Fluent with AutoCAD, Autodesk Civil 3D, or other terrain modeling design software.
Experience with hydrologic/hydraulic modeling (e.g., HydroCAD, WinTR-55, PondPack, HEC-RAS).

Responsibilities

Develop engineering designs for permitting or construction permits.
Manage civil or environmental engineering projects, including land development and stormwater permitting.
Analyze technical reports, construction submittals, maps, drawings, tests, and aerial photos to support design development.
Review applicable regulations and develop civil designs on projects of varying complexity.
Travel up to 15% and mentor junior engineers; coordinate with local and national teams.
