Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a Project Civil/Environmental Engineer to support a growing US portfolio. You will collaborate with scientists, engineers, project managers, and technical experts on civil design and environmental permitting across energy, industrial, and transportation sectors.

The role requires experience with federal and state permitting, with travel up to 15%. Office-based with field assignments as needed; mentorship and stakeholder engagement are also part of the role.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Environmental, Chemical, or Civil Engineering or closely related field.
  • Successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam.
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience.
  • Fluent with AutoCAD, Autodesk Civil 3D, or other terrain modeling design software.
  • Experience with hydrologic/hydraulic modeling (e.g., HydroCAD, WinTR-55, PondPack, HEC-RAS).
  • Master's degree, PE license, and HAZWOPER or related professional credentials preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop engineering designs for permitting or construction permits.
  • Manage civil or environmental engineering projects including land development and stormwater permitting.
  • Analyze technical reports, maps, drawings, and tests to support design development.
  • Review regulations and develop designs within regulatory constraints.
  • Produce quality materials within tight timeframes and manage multiple assignments.
