Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a self-starting Project Civil/Environmental Engineer to support a growing portfolio of projects across the United States. The role requires collaboration with scientists, engineers, and project managers on civil design and environmental permitting.

You will review regulations, develop designs, and manage projects with a mix of office and field work, including travel up to 15% and mentorship of junior engineers. A FE exam and 5+ years of experience are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Environmental, Chemical, or Civil Engineering or closely related field.
• Successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam.
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience.
• Fluent with AutoCAD, Autodesk Civil 3D, or other terrain modeling design software.
• Experience with hydrologic/hydraulic modeling (e.g., HydroCAD, WinTR-55, PondPack, HEC-RAS).

Responsibilities

• Develop engineering designs for permitting or construction permits.
• Manage civil or environmental engineering projects, including land development.
• Analyze technical reports, maps, drawings, tests, and aerial photos to support design development.
• Review regulations, permitting requirements, and standards; develop civil designs accordingly.
• Travel up to 15% for field assignments and meetings; mentor junior engineers and coordinate with teams.
