Job summary

Arcadis, a global leader in sustainable design, engineering and consultancy, seeks a Project Civil/Environmental Engineer to support a US portfolio of civil and environmental permitting projects.

You will collaborate with scientists, engineers, project managers, and clients, applying FE credentials, 5+ years of experience, and proficiency in AutoCAD/Civil 3D and hydrologic/hydraulic modeling to deliver robust permitting and site development solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Environmental, Chemical, or Civil Engineering or closely related field.
• Successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam.
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience.
• Fluent with AutoCAD, Autodesk Civil 3D, or other terrain modeling design software.
• Experience with hydrologic/hydraulic modeling (e.g., HydroCAD, WinTR-55, PondPack, HEC-RAS).

Responsibilities

• Develop engineering designs for permitting or construction permits under supervision of project managers.
• Manage civil or environmental engineering projects including land development, soil/erosion control design, and stormwater permitting.
• Analyze technical reports, maps, drawings, tests and aerial photos to support design development.
• Review regulations and standards; translate data into civil designs for varying complexity.
• Occasional field assignments and participation in client meetings; travel up to 15%.

Education
