Job summary

Arcadis seeks a self-starting Project Civil/Environmental Engineer to support a growing US portfolio. You will collaborate with scientists, engineers, project managers, and technical experts on civil design and environmental permitting across energy, industrial, and transportation sectors.

The role blends office work with field visits, travel up to 15%, and opportunities to mentor junior engineers while delivering quality permitting and design deliverables under tight timelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Environmental, Chemical, or Civil Engineering or closely related field.
• FE exam completed (Fundamentals of Engineering).
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience.
• Proficient with AutoCAD, Civil 3D or similar.
• Experience with hydrologic/hydraulic modeling (HydroCAD, WinTR-55, PondPack, HEC-RAS).
• Preferred: MS in related field.
• Preferred: PE license(s) and erosion control certifications.

Responsibilities

• Develop engineering designs for permitting or construction permits.
• Manage civil or environmental engineering projects including land development and stormwater permitting.
• Analyze technical reports, maps, drawings, tests to support design.
• Ensure quality materials within tight timeframes and manage multiple assignments.
• Occasionally conduct field assignments and client meetings.
• Travel up to 15% and mentor junior engineers.
