Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a self-starting Project Civil/Environmental Engineer to support an expanding portfolio of projects across the United States. You will work with scientists, engineers, project managers, and technical experts on civil design and environmental permitting for diverse sites in energy, industrial, and transportation sectors.

This role is primarily office based but includes field work as needed, with up to 15% travel.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Environmental, Chemical, or Civil Engineering or closely related field.
Successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam.
Minimum 5 years of professional experience.
Fluent with AutoCAD, Autodesk Civil 3D, or other terrain modeling design software.
Experience with hydrologic/hydraulic modeling (e.g., HydroCAD, WinTR-55, PondPack, HEC-RAS).

Responsibilities

Develop engineering designs for permitting or construction permits.
Manage civil or environmental engineering projects, including land development.
Analyze documentation including technical reports, submittals, maps, drawings, tests, and aerial photographs to understand site characteristics for design development.
Produce quality materials within tight timeframes and manage several assignments.
Travel up to 15% and conduct field assignments as needed.
Mentor junior engineers and coordinate with project teams.
