Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking a Progressive Care (Step-down) Registered Nurse at St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital. The RN will assess patient status, coordinate care, and develop care plans to improve outcomes in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities include collaborating with the care team, administering medications safely, and ensuring a safe environment. Requires 1 year RN experience; BSN preferred; ACLS/BLS credentials per policy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Nursing is preferred but not required.
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• ACLS required within 6 months of hire; BLS required at hire or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care team to coordinate patient care.
• Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessment and develop care plans.
• Administer medications safely per policy and procedures.
• Serve as patient care coordinator across hospital departments.
• Act as a patient safety advocate and participate in quality improvement.
