Job summary

Mercy Health in Youngstown, OH is seeking a Registered Nurse for Progressive Care (Step down) at St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital. You will deliver exceptional nursing care, assess patient status, and coordinate care across units.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Nursing (preferred, not required).
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• BLS Basic Life Support or ACLS Advanced Cardiac Life Support (preferred at hire, must obtain within 6 months).
• 1 year of RN experience (required).
• 6 months RN experience in an acute care hospital setting (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to coordinate patient plans.
• Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessment, create a plan of care, implement treatment and evaluate effectiveness.
• Serve as point of contact for patient care coordination across hospital departments.
• Act as a patient safety advocate by participating in quality improvement in the department.
• Administer medications in a safe manner per policies and state practice requirements.
