Job summary

Mercy Health's St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital is seeking a Progressive Care (Step down) Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver high-quality nursing care in a 26-bed unit. You will act as the liaison between Med-Surg and ICU, assess patient status, and develop care plans to improve outcomes in a safe, therapeutic environment.

Qualifications

• 1 year of RN experience in acute care required
• BSN preferred and RN license required
• BLS certification; ACLS preferred with onboarding timeline

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team
• Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessment, analyze data, create a care plan, implement treatment, and evaluate effectiveness
• Serves as point of contact for patients' care coordination across hospital departments
• Acts as a patient safety advocate by participating in ongoing quality improvement
• Administer medications in a safe manner per policy
