Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health is seeking a Progressive Care (Step down) RN at St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital to deliver compassionate nursing care. You will assess patients, develop and implement care plans, and ensure a safe therapeutic environment across Med-Surg and ICU overlap areas.

Required RN licensure with BLS; ACLS preferred at hire and ACLS within 6 months. BSN preferred. Competitive pay and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• BSN preferred or higher; not required.
• BLS Basic Life Support; ACLS preferred at hire and ACLS within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team.
• Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessment, analyze data, create a plan of care, implement treatment, and evaluate effectiveness.
• Serve as point of contact for patients' care coordination across hospital departments.
• Act as a patient safety advocate by participating in ongoing quality improvement.
• Administer medications in a safe manner per state practice and organizational policies.
