The role focuses on delivering high-quality nursing care in a step-down unit, bridging Med-Surg and ICU, while leading patient care plans and ensuring a safe environment. The ideal candidate has 1 year of RN experience (6 months in acute care preferred), holds a current RN license, and may have BLS/ACLS certification.

Qualifications

• Current state RN licensure
• BLS/ACLS preferred at hire (ACLS within 6 months)
• 1 year RN experience required
• 6 months RN experience in acute care preferred

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care team
• Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessments and plan of care
• Administer medications safely and per policy
• Act as patient safety advocate and participate in quality improvement
• Coordinate patient care across hospital departments
