Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health is seeking a Progressive Care (Step down) RN at St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital to deliver high-quality nursing care in a 26-bed progressive care unit.

The role requires strong leadership, patient assessment, and care coordination within Med-Surg and ICU interfaces. The position prefers a BSN, RN licensure, and BLS/ACLS credentials, with at least 1 year of RN experience and 6 months in acute care preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred, not required.
• Current state RN licensure.
• BLS or ACLS certification preferred at hire; ACLS within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to coordinate patient care.
• Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessments and update the care plan.
• Administer medications safely in accordance with policy and practice.
• Act as a patient safety advocate and participate in quality improvement.
• Provide education and discharge planning as part of care coordination.
