Job summary

Mental Health America of Los Angeles (MHALA) is seeking an Assistant Program Manager to oversee an interdisciplinary program supporting individuals with mental health needs. This role provides supervision to clinical and non-clinical staff under the Assistant Director of Adult Team Services.

The position emphasizes program oversight, coordination with DMH and funding sources, and ensuring services are integrated and responsive to member needs.

Qualifications

• Three years of experience in a non-profit social service agency providing direct services to members.
• Strong facilitation, written communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to work across regions and roles.
• Ability to supervise diverse staff and manage team dynamics.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct supervision to clinical and non-clinical staff in the department.
• Oversee FSP program teams to ensure quality of care and DMH/MHALA standards.
• Coordinate staff meetings, case conferences, and internal reviews.
• Monitor budgets, billing goals, and data reporting aligned with funding.
