Job summary

Mental Health America of Los Angeles (MHALA) is seeking an Assistant Program Manager to oversee an interdisciplinary Transition Age Youth Services program, ensuring integrated mental health, housing, employment, and wellness services. You will work under the Program Manager to maintain program quality and collaborate across teams.

The role requires strong leadership, budgeting, and data reporting skills, plus a clinical or social service background (ASW/LCSW/LMFT/LPCC or psychologist).

Qualifications

• Three years of experience in a non-profit social service agency providing direct services to members.
• Strong facilitation, written and verbal communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work across regions, programs, and roles and manage staff relations.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct supervision to clinical and non-clinical staff.
• Coordinate and lead staff meetings, case conferences, and internal meetings.
• Ensure budget, billing goals, data reporting, and program performance.
• Develop partnerships with community resources to benefit members.
• Recruit, hire, train and mentor new staff in collaboration with program leadership.
