Job summary

Mental Health America of Los Angeles (MHALA) seeks a Clinical Program Manager to lead the United Mental Health Promoter team, coordinate clinical services, and drive program success in North County. You will supervise staff, manage budgets, ensure regulatory compliance, and foster partnerships with DMH and community organizations.

The role requires clinical licensure and leadership experience in a nonprofit setting, with on-call crisis responsibilities and a commitment to service excellence.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years in a nonprofit social service agency providing direct services
• Experience in a supervisory/leadership role
• Current LPS designation or qualify within 9 months
• Strong facilitation, written communication, and interpersonal skills
• DMH and UMHP experience valued, but not required

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and oversight to United Mental Health Promoter (UMHP) Team and ensure high-quality care
• Coordinate and lead staff meetings and case conferences
• Recruit, hire, train and mentor new staff
• Ensure budget, billing, and funding goals are met for the program
• Monitor program performance and ensure compliance with DMH UMHP grant requirements
• Oversee program documentation standards and provide coaching as needed
• Coordinate member care, enrollments, and program participation
• Engage in planning, community involvement, and staff development activities
• Foster collaboration with other departments and external partners
• Maintain crisis on-call availability and respond to urgent needs
