Mental Health America of Los Angeles (MHALA) seeks an Assistant Program Manager to oversee interdisciplinary teams providing community-based mental health services. You will supervise clinical and non-clinical staff, ensure services meet DMH and MHALA standards, and drive data-driven program performance.

You will coordinate staffing, budget alignment, and partnerships with community resources while guiding staff through training and mentoring. Some evenings or weekends may be required.

Competenze

• Three years of experience in a non-profit social service agency providing direct services to members.
• Strong facilitation, written communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work across regions, programs, and roles.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; tact and diplomacy; excellent relationship building skills.
• Outstanding team building and facilitation skills; ability to build consensus and seek input.
• Knowledge of DMH, MediCal and Full Service Partnership (FSP) is valued but not required.

Mansioni

• Provide direct management to Full Service Partnership (FSP) program teams, ensuring excellent care and services are provided and compliant with DMH/MHALA standards.
• Coordinate and lead staff meetings, case conference meetings, and other internal meetings.
• Provide ongoing direction, support, training and team building to staff.
• Attend external meetings as needed by MHALA and funding sources.
• Ensure program budget and billing goals are met with accurate data reporting.
• Foster transparent communication and support strategic direction across departments.
• Partner on recruiting, hiring, training and mentoring new staff.
• Ensure quality assurance checks of member files and data collection.
