Job summary

Mental Health America of Los Angeles (MHALA) invites applications for Assistant Program Manager. This role provides oversight for a multidisciplinary team delivering wraparound mental health, housing, employment, and wellness services under the Adult Team Services umbrella.

The position requires at least three years in a nonprofit social service setting, strong leadership and facilitation skills, and a flexible schedule including some evenings or weekends.

Qualifications

• Three years of experience in a nonprofit social service agency serving members.
• Strong facilitation, written communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work across regions, programs, and roles.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; tact and diplomacy; relationship-building abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide general oversight for department service activities and direct supervision to staff.
• Coordinate and lead staff meetings and case conferences.
• Ensure services are integrated and aligned with funding goals and data reporting.
