Job summary

Mental Health America of Los Angeles (MHALA) seeks an Assistant Program Manager to oversee the Transition Age Youth Services interdisciplinary program. You will supervise clinical and non-clinical staff, ensure service delivery integrates mental health, housing, employment, and wellness services, and align operations with DMH standards and funding requirements.

You will lead meetings, train staff, and build community partnerships while maintaining data quality, budgets, and performance goals.

Qualifications

• ASW/MFT/LPCC or PsyD/PhD, LCSW/LMFT/LPCC/licensed psychologist preferred.
• Three years of experience in a nonprofit social service agency delivering direct services.
• Strong facilitation, written and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide general oversight for department service activities and direct supervision to staff.
• Coordinate and lead staff meetings, case conferences and internal meetings.
• Ensure services are integrated and aligned with funding streams and DMH/MHALA standards.
• Recruiting, hiring, training and mentoring new staff in partnership with Program Manager.
• Monitor program performance and achieve budget and billing goals; ensure data accuracy.
• Establish partnerships with community resources to support member needs.
