Job summary

Goodwill Industries of Southeastern Louisiana is seeking a Production Lead to guide daily store operations and ensure garment processing targets are met with quality under a clean, welcoming environment.

The role requires coordinating with managers, leading associates, and maintaining safety standards while supporting a positive public image for the organization.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or GED and 6 months supervisory experience or a minimum of 90 days in the service industry.
• Must be able to read, write and communicate clearly in English.
• Retail training completed; service industry experience preferred.

• Assist in achieving monthly and annual production goals.
• Interact professionally with a diverse array of people.
• Market Goodwill and explain the mission to the general public.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with store and production personnel while motivating them.
• Flexible schedule: nights, weekends, and long hours as needed.
• Use repetitive hand movements for buttoning, sorting, hanging and zipping garments.
• Stand, walk, bend, stoop and stretch as required in a fast-paced environment.
• Perform duties of Production Associates and maintain a safe workspace.
• Attend regularly scheduled shifts as assigned by the manager for the week.

Essential Functions:

Responsibilities:

• 1. Toreachproductiongoalguidelines(minimumof110garmentsperhourwitha minimum quality standard of 90%).
• 2. Toensureproperproductionofdonationsgetprocessedandreadytoputonthestorefloor.
• 3. Toactasapositiverolemodelforemployeesandtraineesinallaspectsofprofessionalperformance.
• 4. Toproducedonatedgoodsinthebackroomadequately.Tocreateapositivepublic image of Goodwill through a clean store environment, attractive displays and presentable, personable personnel.
• 5. Tomaintainsafeandappropriateconditions intheback-roomarea.
• 6. Tokeepthestorecleanandhazardfreebyvacuuming,moppinganddusting, (including cleaning the bathrooms.)
• 7. Toobservepersonnelandsafetypoliciesandprocedures.ToensurecompliancebyProductionAssociates.
• 8. Tobeableto perform the jobduties oftheProductionAssociates.
• 9. Toattendworkontheregularlyscheduledshiftsasassignedbythemanagerfortheweek.

Working Conditions:

Frequent physical exertion, frequent movement, conditioned indoor temperatures with occasional exposure to outdoor temperatures and weather conditions. Alternate work schedule may include working at an attended donation center with no prior notice.
