Job summary

Goodwill-Industries-of-Southeastern-Louisiana is seeking a Production Lead to oversee daily store operations and production performance, ensuring budgets are met and procedures are followed. The role acts as a supervisor during assigned hours and supports staff through training and positive leadership.

The candidate will manage donation processing, maintain back-room safety, and help present a clean, attractive store environment. Flexibility to work varied shifts including weekends is expected.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; 6 months supervisory experience or 90 days in the service industry.
• Ability to read/communicate clearly in English.
• Experience in the service industry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day store operation and production performance to meet or exceed budget.
• Ensure donations are processed and ready for the floor.
• Model professional conduct and supervise Production Associates as needed.

Essential Functions:

Responsibilities:

Toassistwiththeday-to-daystoreoperationandproductionperformancetomeetorexceed budgetwhileincompliancewithcompanystandards,policiesandprocedures.AProduction LeadperformsthedutiesofasupervisorwhenassignedbytheStoreManagerorProduction Manager.ProductionLeadsmayactinasupervisorycapacityduringscheduledworkhours.

• 1. Toreachproductiongoalguidelines(minimumof110garmentsperhourwitha minimum quality standard of 90%).
• 2. Toensureproperproductionofdonationsgetprocessedandreadytoputonthestorefloor.
• 3. Toactasapositiverolemodelforemployeesandtraineesinallaspectsofprofessionalperformance.
• 4. Toproducedonatedgoodsinthebackroomadequately.Tocreateapositivepublic image of Goodwill through a clean store environment, attractive displays and presentable, personable personnel.
• 5. Tomaintainsafeandappropriateconditions intheback-room area.
• 6. Tokeepthestorecleanandhazardfreebyvacuuming,moppinganddusting, (including cleaning the bathrooms.)
• 7. Toobservepersonnelandsafetypoliciesandprocedures.ToensurecompliancebyProduction Associates.
• 8. Tobeableto perform the jobduties ofthe Production Associates.
• 9. Toattendworkontheregularlyscheduledshiftsasassignedbythemanagerforthe week.

• 5. Mustbeabletoworkaflexiblescheduleatshortnotice,includingnightsand weekends, and occasionally, long hours.
• 6. Mustbeabletouserepetitivehandmovementwhenbuttoning,sorting,hangingand zipping garments.
• 7. Mustbeabletoengageinprolongedstanding,walkingandinfrequentbending, stooping, and stretching.
• 8. Mustbeabletofunctioninafast-pacedworkenvironmentwithoccasionalperiodsof high volume.

Requirements:

• 1. HighSchooldiplomaorGEDand6monthssupervisoryexperienceoraminimumof 90 days in the service industry.
• 2. Mustbeabletoread,writeandcommunicateclearlyin English.
• 3. Priorworkexperience intheserviceindustry preferred.
• 4. MustsuccessfullycompleteRetail training.

Working Conditions:

Frequent physical exertion, frequent movement, conditioned indoor temperatures with occasional exposure to outdoor temperatures and weather conditions. Alternate work schedule may include working at an attended donation center with no prior notice.
